Cadium signs Scott Rose, the multi-faceted singer/songwriter/producer, to a publishing deal. The founder of the metal act, Rikets, will also be bringing the band back in a new incarnation with a new album, due this year.

At an early age, Scott Rose was drawn to the Arts and Entertainment industries. the multi-instrumentalist/songwriter has experienced it all after his decades in the industry. A California native and re-deploying from Ohio to Los Angeles in 1999, Scott then began his music career and was quickly cast into the alt-metal act Erase The Grey (Universal-Republic Records) as the keyboardist, percussionist and back-up vocalist before finally returning to Ohio to write the music for a new project that would become Rikets.

Rikets would feature members of Nonpoint, Dope, Switched, Breaking Benjamin, Pro Pain, Powerman 5000, TEXAS HIPPIE COALTION and Skinlab among others, recording two albums via Corporate Punishment Records, where he served as default A&R for the label, and Koch/Entertainment One. During this time, Scott began working in the music department for Warner Bros. under Gary LeMel, in the Music For Film department overseeing various assignments. Rikets then took their show on the road and along the way opened for Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, Hell Yeah, Nothingface and many more. The band’s “Designer Drug Hell” was also placed in the motion picture “Emerging Past.

Taking time off from Rikets 2010-2020, Rose focused on his beloved hobbies, such as building race cars and fishing, as well as focusing his attention on songwriting for various projects, including Havala (Southern Rock/Modern Country) and Sleazy (Hard Rock), along with esteemed writers/players, such as Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Creed), Ben Schigel (Switched, SomeKindOfWonderful). Mark Lorenzo (Southbound 75) and BG Simpson (Anchored). From these projects, Rose’s co-write, “Friend of the Bride,” would be cut by Southbound 75 with Nashville producer titan, Bill McDermott, and contribute drum samples for Kelly Nunn (Underoath, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster). BILL MCDERMOTT is BILLBOARD’S #1 PRODUCER HOT SINGLES SALES & BILLBOARD #6 ALBUM SALES PRODUCER. Bills’ past projects include: Brett Eldredge, Michael Ray, George Strait, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley. He also has also co-produced with Dann Huff on Big Machine, as well as artists on Curb Records, Broken Bow and Warner. “FRIEND OF THE BRIDE” DUBS ROSE AS AN OFFICIAL NASHVILLE SONGWRITER.

Currently, Scott splits his time between Ohio and Florida while writing and recording material at Spider Studios (Machine Gun Kelly, Drowning Pool, Chimaira) for a new Rikets release, as well as serving as A&R for Godsize Records (InGrooves/Universal).

Rose’s creative history is littered with collaborations with former members of Creed, Breaking Benjamin, and Powerman 5000. He is also the other creative half of the country rock act, Havala (co-founded by Southbound 75’s Mark Lorenzo). The deal is primarily two-fold, as it will include Rose’s back-catalog, (Rikets included) and future works with an array of songwriters.

While the rock journeyman has worked in various facets of the entertainment industry (actor, creative manager within the music FOR FILM department of Warner Bros. studios, songwriter and music producer), Rose is best known for fronting Rikets.

Rising through the ranks of metal and rock, the future seemed bright for the guys, but misfortune struck. Rose contracted a very rare illness around 2009 that almost cost him his life. With the help of a great medical staff and an over-arching will to survive, the Cleveland transplant by way of Los Angeles was able to return to almost perfect health; however, it was Rikets that didn’t survive.

Post Rikets, Rose worked with a variety of musicians, not as the focal point a group, but as collaborator. Co-writes and production sessions included working with Brett Hestla (Creed/DARK NEW DAY) and continuing his creative relationship with Rikets producer Ben Schigel (Machine Gun Kelly, Drowning Pool, Chimaira).

Last year, after a 10 year break from Rikets, Rose felt the itch to bring Rikets back, signing to Godsize Records. The details of Rikets 2.0 has yet to be announced, but in the meantime, Godsize will be re-releasing All American Death Cult March 2. Rikets also plans to release a new album later in the year. Cadium signs Scott Rose not only with rock and metal in mind, but because of his continued work in the country rock sector and beyond.

ABOUT CADIUM -

After years of working at various publishing and record companies, Jan Seedman formed Cadium Music Publishing. With a background in talent acquisition, Seedman brought Stone Temple Pilots and Filter to EMI Music when they were both unsigned to record labels. He also worked with Folk Implosion and Elliott Smith, among others, at the BMG-affiliated M3 and as independent A&R, got Nickelback their record deal (Roadrunner). Seedman took the best of what the majors had to offer and applied it to Cadium, while keeping the focus on top-flight talent, regardless of the background and pedigree of the writer. Cadium signed writers Kevin and Kane Churko (Disturbed, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch) to their first publishing deals, have placements in television and film, including the Academy Award-nominated Collateral (Cisco De Luna), co-writes with up and coming rapper, Ekoh (Sean Kennedy, Curtis Martin and Rob Endling), as well as Ded (Martin and Endling).
